Jay Bruce

Jay Bruce has not been producing numbers, 18 homeruns may be good but not his .212 batting average does not make up for it. He/s not a patient hitter. Ive noticed over the past few weeks, hes been getting down 0-2 and swinging at junk.
If he took the time to relax at the plate and be more patient I bet his OBP would be a lot higher and so will his BA. Even though he is my favorite player, maybe Dusty should decide if he is worth keeping up right now, maybe send Bruce down for a couple weeks and bring up Drew Stubbs. Have Stubbs play right until Bruce is coming around.

Practice makes perfect, let Bruce take a day or too and do live BP, maybe that will get him to have a better eye at the plate.

Ortiz losing

David Ortiz is simply just falling down. Losing talent, and a hazardous to the Red Sox. Previously before this year he was hitting high .200s and was averaging 20 some homeruns and over 100 rbis. Now, after steriod testing going around on the MLB (Major League Baseball) it seems he's losing his talent.

What talent he had, I did not pay much attention too, but I did know that in the American League he was a threat to all pitchers, try pitching around him was the idea. Now all pitchers have to do is go right after him and odds are he'll pop up or strike out,

Try Lars Anderson, Boston has the players to win another world series, which I personally wouldnt not want to see, but the fact there still keeping Ortiz in the lineup or even in the MLB for the matter is ruining Bostons chances, Lars Anderson is one of the top prospects in the game and could become the new DH.

Over the past month or so, Ortiz has picked up the pace and is being to come around and start hitting again, but with a 40 some game slump, he needs some time to adjust, sending down to the minors would probably be a good idea, no matter how old he is. Anderson could possibly be what the Red Sox need.

Manny Ramirez

Recently Manny was sent down to do a Minor League assignment before coming back up to the bigs, from what I saw, not very Manny Ramirez. Now that Manny is off the roids, could be it be affecting his playing?
I want you guys to leave me your comments in the comment button below.

A Recap

Talking to one of my friends today I noticed had made a point to me which affects tons of people. For people that are into card collecting, its becoming ridiculous. Prices for cards of rookies and prospects are outrageous.

This is not much to do with the sport itself, I just felt he made a good point saying that people overpay way to much for that stuff.

Save your money, just my opinion.

Thanks for the idea Avery.

Fellow collectors

I do collect baseball, if you do to, I am looking to sell most of my stuff.

All my stuff is in my photobucket, heres the link :http://s558.photobucket.com/albums/ss27/Jboggs625/

Vottos back

1B Joey Votto is now back on his daily routine as a starting player. Joey has been on the disabled since late May, during a few games in late May he was pulled out of the game for dizziness.

Right before being put on the DL Votto told trainer Mark Mann and Dusty Baker he was battling some stress related issues.

Later yesterday before making his return in Toronto Votto explained to the media he was battling depression and antiexy attacks. Hopefully Votto after taking his time off, is ready to play and is making a full recovery emotionally and pshyically.

Bakers not doing his job

The cincinnati reds to get on track, I dont blame the players as much I do blame Dusty. It seems to me he is keeping the players that need playing time in, and not the ones who are producing good numbers.

Willy Taveras is not a player he should have being a lead off hitter and not producing any numbers. Move Bruce to center, put Nix in right and Dickerson in left, those guys have been producing well enough.

Micah Owings should not be in the starting rotation, he hasnt gotten a break at all this year, hes not spotting and locating the ball where it needs to be, bring someone like Bailey up and hope he can do better than he can.

We need to start focusing on being a winning ball club especially since the Reds 1b man Joey Votto has returned.

Put the players who can produce the numbers and let them start to get the team back on track .
